The agreement you accept when you create an Orbit account.
Last updated: 5 August 2026
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use Orbit.
You agree not to post, send, or share anything that:
You also agree not to:
Every piece of content in Orbit can be reported, and every person can be blocked. Reports are reviewed and acted on, typically within 24 hours. Blocking someone hides their events and comments from you, stops them messaging you, and hides you from them.
You can report an event or a comment from the "..." menu on it, and report or block a person from the "..." menu inside a conversation with them. You may also email us directly at the address below.
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it to the people your privacy settings allow, which is what makes the app work. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
Location sharing is off until you turn it on. Other people never receive your exact position: coordinates are rounded to roughly a kilometre before they leave our servers, distances are reported in five mile steps, and a shared position stops being visible after six hours. See the privacy policy for detail.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile, Delete account. It is immediate and permanent, and removes your profile, events, photos, comments, messages, friendships and any shared location. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms.
Orbit is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not responsible for what other people do, on or off the app. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
If these terms change materially we will update the date above and ask you to accept the new version in the app.
